Project description
This McAllen Residence is a 1,800 sq ft, two-story starter home designed with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and practical residential construction. The project reflects a collaborative approach between design and construction teams to deliver a streamlined and effective structural solution.
KSI Steel was responsible for the structural scope, contributing during the design phase by advising the owner and architect on the implementation of a Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) system. Through early involvement, KSI provided value engineering strategies that optimized the structure and reduced overall construction costs.
Key Project Highlights:
-
Collaborative Design Approach, KSI worked closely with the general contractor, architect, and structural engineer to align system design with project goals and budget.
-
Value Engineering, strategic input during early design stages helped simplify the structure and achieve a more cost-effective solution.
-
CFS Structural System, the residence was constructed using Cold-Formed Steel framing, offering durability and consistency over traditional methods.
